West Midlands Research Collaborative

The WMRC is a trainee-led general surgery research network based in Birmingham. It was set up by surgical registrars in 2007 with the aim to enable trainees to design and deliver deliver high-quality, multi-centre clinical research that has the potential to change clinical practice. WMRC has published two multicentre RCTs in the British Medical Journal (ROSSINI in 2013 & DREAMS in 2012).
